MY BIG DAY!
Xander has spent countless days dreaming about this moment, watching from the sidelines as his big brother played baseball. Now, it's finally his turn to step onto the field. But with butterflies fluttering in his stomach and nerves racing through his mind, Xander wonders if he's brave enough to take that first step.
Join Xander on a heartwarming journey as he learns that courage isn't about not being afraid. It's about believing in yourself and trying anyway. With the support of family, determination, and a little bit of confidence, Xander discovers that sometimes the biggest victories happen before the game even begins.
A touching story about overcoming fears, building confidence, and celebrating milestones, Today Is the Big Day! is perfect for young readers who are facing new experiences of their own.

About the author
Stacey Krainbucher
As a wife and proud mom of three boys, I have learned that life is not measured by how many times we fall, but by how many times we choose to get back up. With a positive outlook and a never-quit attitude, I believe every challenge, setback, and failure carries a lesson that helps us grow into stronger versions of ourselves. I am passionate about encouraging others, especially children, to overcome mindset hurdles, build confidence, and recognize their own worth. My hope is to inspire others to embrace who they are, love themselves unapologetically, and shine brightly in a world that often asks them to be someone else. After all, everyone else is already taken. Be the light you were created to be, and never allow anyone to dim it.

How My Big Day came to be.
As a mom of young children, I often searched for books that combined a love of sports with positive life lessons. While there were plenty of books about winning, competition, and athletic achievement, I found it difficult to find stories that focused on encouragement, resilience, self-belief, and supporting one another.
I wrote this book to help young readers understand that success is not just about the scoreboard. It's about showing kindness, believing in yourself, learning from mistakes, and having the courage to keep going even when things don't go as planned. My hope is that every child who reads this story feels supported, encouraged, and reminded that they are capable of amazing things both on and off the field.
Most importantly, I want children to know that their worth is not determined by wins or losses, but by the character they build, the effort they give, and the way they treat others along the way.

A Special Thank You.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this story to life.
To my loving husband, Brian, and our boys, Austin, Xander, and Maverick. Your love, support, patience, and encouragement have meant more than words can express. Thank you for always believing in me and inspiring me every step of the way.
To my talented illustrator, Eric, thank you for bringing these characters to life and making them leap off the pages in ways I could only imagine. Your creativity and dedication helped transform this story into something truly special.
And to all the young readers, this book is for you. Never stop dreaming, believing in yourself, and chasing what makes your heart happy. Remember, every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and anything is possible when you believe in yourself.
With gratitude,
Stacey Krainbucher - Author, Mother, Wife, & Speaker.
